Come celebrate Mother’s Day while making fun and lasting memories with mom in clay. In this fun handbuilding workshop, you choose your cup style to create. Personalize them by adding a special phrase’s, initials, or? Once your mug is complete, you choose your glaze color. We fire and glaze them for you making them usable, pick up is in 3 weeks.

Sing Up

Mom’s, Vases & Mimosa’s

Saturday, May 11th, or Sunday May 12

Join us for a fun noon time event of hand building with mom! In this workshop we will make usable vases, choose from several designs or create your own shape. Our instructors will provide step by step instructions to create a handmade vase. Come enjoy this memorable experience with mom. Sweet treats & complementary mimosa included.

Date Night

Friday & Saturday Evenings $75 per person

Family, friends, boo’s, besties and individuals are welcome to join us for an evening of fun of throwing on the potters wheel. No experience required! Our skilled instructor will walk you through the steps of throwing and set you on your own to create. While we can’t guarantee that you’ll make a masterpiece, you’ll definitely have a great time making memories with your clay friends! Clay, use of tools and firing of 2 pieces per person are included. Date night includes a full hour and a half of instruction for one person. We glaze your wares with making them food safe and you pick them up in 2 weeks! Pre-registration is required and for those 21+ feel free to BYOB (NO GLASS).

Due to the class like setting sessions begins promptly and on-time. Folks arriving late will forfeit their spot and an opportunity to reschedule or receive a refund. Please allow extra time for parking as the Village can get congested. We look forward to hosting you!

Coffee & Clay

Saturday, Sunday or Monday’s

Friends, families, all, are welcome to attend this fun morning event. Delicious coffee is provided by a local Carlsbad roaster, free of charge! Spend an hour and a half focusing on one form on the wheel. While we can’t guarantee that you’ll make a masterpiece, you’ll definitely have a great time making memories! Choose your best two peices to keep. We add a glaze coat to finish them off, pick up in 2-3 weeks, after pieces have been fired. Ages 8 and up welcome with paid parent or guardian.

Pottery Paint & Sip

Come spend a relaxing evening with us! Each person may choose between a mug, bowl or plate to personalize and paint. Glazes, brushes, and instruction included. All wares are fired sealing your designs permanently. For those 21+ feel free to BYOB (NO GLASS). We offer both studio handmade pieces and slip cast wares to choose from.

Handbuilding Mugs

Sunday Mornings 9:00am

Join us as we learn the method of handbuilding. During this hands on class we transform clay slabs into coffee mugs, beer steins, and wine tumblers. We teach you the methods used to design and customize your mug with our easy follow along steps. Let your creativity flow, we have several mats, tools, and stamps to help bring your ideas to life! All materials provided. For those 21+ feel free to BYOB (NO GLASS). Mugs will be fired and glazed making them food safe. Pick up is in 2-3 weeks, after pieces have been fired.

Choose between painting or a solid glaze color.

TWEEN & TEEN CLAY

THURSDAY’S 3:30-5:15PM

Tween & Teens join us for the best clay camp around! We spend four weeks getting creative in clay. Learning to use the wheel is a very small part of the fun. Projects vary by week, we spend half the time creating, take a short snack break and come back to paint our creations! No experience required, minimum of four students needed to commence.

**Open to ages 5-16 seating is limited, register now.

Ages: 5+

Fees: $ 65. (one time class) or 4 weeks $ 200.

Ceramic Decal & Collage Workshop, Rescheduled TBD

Join Artist/Instructor Casey O’Connor for this unique mixed media collage class using ceramic decals and image transfers on ceramic dishware. Casey will discuss the origins of this technique as well as demonstrate the step-by-step process. You’ll be provided with two dishware items to serve as “blanks” to customize into artpieces to suit your style. Casey has traveled all over the globe collecting hundreds of multinational decals & transfers, and he’s excited to share his collection with his students. Once your collage is complete, your pieces will be fired after class, and they’ll be ready for pick up in a few days. These would make excellent holiday/party gifts or keepsakes for you to treasure!

Fees: $85.

Materials: All Materials & firing provided, pickup is 1 week from date of event at Handled Pottery Studio, shipping is available for a flat fee.

Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy:

Classes are non-refundable, if you can’t make it you are allowed to transfer it over to another person, please email us with the name change before the scheduled class.
